Scanner

A scanner is a device usually connected to a computer. Its main function is to scan or take a picture of the document, digitize the information and present it on the computer screen. Very high resolution scanners are used for scanning for high-resolution printing, but lower resolution scanners are adequate for capturing images for computer display.
